Life happens

Hello lovely readers

Due to some personal problems, I have recently had to reduce my hours at work, so crafting funds are going to be limited for the foreseeable future... I would like to spend some more time posting on this little old blog though.

So I thought it would be a good idea to start a new series of posts on my efforts to stashbust.

While my stash is not too huge by some standards, I do have a mountain of knitting yarn and some fabric stockpiled too. Not to mention all the WIPs that I need to get finished....

I also have a very large collection of crafting and sewing books that I have purchased over the years.  If anyone is interested, I plan to go through these and write some reviews, share my favourites and also try some of the projects out...

Maybe I might even try my hand at vlogging? You never know!

If you have got any great ideas for stashbusting or crafting on a budget, I'd love to hear from you so please leave me a little comment below.

  1. Sorry to read about the personal issues, hours cut-back and resulting crafting funds reduction. On the other hand, I love reading what solutions people come up with when they can't just run out and buy. And I'd absolutely read your thoughts on your books. It might inspire me to go thru my books, whether to get the courage to put in the "out of the house" pile or re-read and use them.

I fear I don't really have any hints for crafting on a budget, other than root through the supplies on hand (don't forget garage and basement) before trotting off to the stores. And don't compare what you see on the internet to what you are doing, especially on quantity and materials. Just as it's the rare person who posts the "before" shot of their sewing room, it's the rare person who shows their projects that went wrong.

    1. Hi Gail, thanks for your detailed reply! I'm currently focusing on finished all those WIPS lying around, then I am going to have a good sort out and see what I can get on with! Glad you would be interested on my thoughts on my books too! I've just posted about the first one I have finished if you are interested :)
